Your data. Your awareness.
From the moment an impact is detected, the Phreno app brings your head-impact data to life. Each event is timestamped, analyzed, and displayed with clear metrics so you can make informed decisions faster.
Our Timeline

December 2023
The Beginning
Phreno started as a sketch on a napkin, an idea drawn up in a dorm room to make sports safer. What began as a late-night conversation about head injuries and data turned into the foundation for what would become our first head impact sensor.

January 2024
The First Prototype
Our first prototype was built using an Arduino Nano board. It was rough, wired by hand, and taped together, but it proved that our idea worked. For the first time, we could see the data behind an impact.

June 2024
Designing Our Own Hardware
By summer, we started designing custom PCBs and housing. Every component from the accelerometers to the charging circuit was built from scratch to fit our vision. This was the first step toward the final design you see today.

December 2024
Beta Testing Begins
We began beta testing with early prototypes with friends during the ski season. These initial real-world tests taught us what worked, what didn’t, and guided dozens of hardware and software improvements.

October 2025
Public Launch
After two years of building, testing, and refining, we’re launching Phreno to the public. Every device now reflects the lessons, failures, and breakthroughs that started with a drawing on a napkin in a dorm room, and we’re just getting started.

Dernières histoires
Phreno’s summer update is here! From a bigger battery and faster charging to a major algorithm upgrade for more accurate concussion detection. See what’s new, what’s shipping soon, and how to join our growing community.
Concussions are a silent but serious threat in action sports, with nearly half going undetected due to outdated evaluation methods. From football to snowboarding, repeated head trauma can lead to long-term neurological damage, yet traditional concussion tests rely heavily on subjective assessments, athlete honesty, and visible symptoms—leaving room for error.
