The Founding Mission
Empowering athletes, coaches, and families with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions about sports participation and health. Education is crucial in our approach, aiming to raise awareness around concussions and promote a culture of safety and prevention.
Ensuring the longevity and sustainability of sports by protecting athletes today and for generations to come. We believe in joy, community, and health benefits sports bring to society and are committed to making them safer for everyone.
As a Pediatrician who frequently evaluates young athletes with head injuries, I believe having a tool that provides accurate and real-time data on the impact will make diagnosing concussion easier, faster, and complement the SCAT tool

Nick Kasten, CEO
Nick Kasten, born and raised in Colorado, has firsthand experience with concussions from skiing, football, and other sports—giving him a deep understanding of the injury, diagnosis, and recovery process. His journey into tech and entrepreneurship began in 2020 with sneaker bots on Twitter, sparking his passion for software engineering. Later that year, he launched a software suite that helped ~2,000 businesses across Europe and Asia streamline operations. In 2023, he joined Flozy.com as Customer Success Lead, where he built and scaled a community of 40,000 businesses while contributing to website design and more. Now, he’s fully focused on Phreno while working toward his computer science degree.
